It has been nearly half a decade since we got our first glimpse into The Legend of Maula Jatt. Its initial 2018 trailer took Pakistan by storm because of how ambitious the project looked. Sure, the titular character of The Legend of Maula Jatt is an iconic part of our local pop culture. But even for an adaptation, the film seemed unlike anything that our industry had ever produced. It promised to be grand in scale, with a character driven plot and stunning action set pieces. Naturally, The Legend of Maula Jatt became one of the most anticipated Pakistani movies of all time.

The Problematic Release of The Legend of Maula Jatt

But of course, some things feel too good to be true as The Legend of Maula Jatt faced multiple issues. Scheduled for a 2019 release, the producer of the original 1979 cult classic filed a copyright lawsuit against the film. This resulted in a release delay. The case was settled in early 2020 and the movie got rescheduled for a late 2020 release. But then the COVID-19 pandemic struck and the film was delayed indefinitely. The movie started to feel like it didn’t exist, like it was a hoax, like it wasn’t real. But thankfully, fast forwarding to today in 2022, we finally get to experience it in theatres.

The Legend of Maula Jatt x Sound Crush

After watching The Legend of Maula Jatt, we can confidently say that the hype was real. People all over Pakistan and the world are absolutely loving it and rightfully so. Aside from the huge scale and amazing action sequences, its character driven nature stands out the most. The film features a star-studded ensemble, full of vibrantly unique characters. So obviously, we took it upon ourselves to imagine which Sound Crush speaker would be picked by each character. The list below has been carefully curated based on the personalities that the respective characters and speakers mutually share.

Fawad Khan’s Maula Jatt x M7

Just like Maula Jatt is to The Legend of Maula Jatt, we consider M7 to be Sound Crush’s poster product. The protagonist is extremely dedicated towards a cause and wants nothing less than perfection, whether it’s his horse or weapon. Maula Jatt doesn’t tolerate any obstacle in his pursuit of justice. Similarly, he wouldn’t want external hindrances like water to ruin his musical experience. Nevertheless, M7’s IPX7 waterproofness and 18-hour battery life would keep Maula’s entertainment needs going, even if it’s raining. In the film, Maula Jatt is seen wearing colors like black and blue, and M7 is also available in them.

Hamza Ali Abbasi’s Noori Natt x Hyper Shock

Exactly like Noori Natt is to The Legend of Maula Jatt, we consider Hyper Shock to be Sound Crush’s wild card. The antagonist is very similar to the protagonist in terms of strength and skill. This reminds us of how similar Hyper Shock’s IPX7 waterproofness is to M7’s. Noori Natt is a hyper character and his acts in the film are extraordinarily shocking. And he fits Hyper Shock’s description perfectly. In addition, he takes out all the competition in his way, not because he wants to but because he has to. Moreover, he is immensely strong, loud and fills every room he enters, just like Hyper Shock design and sound. In the film, Noori Natt is seen wearing dark colors and Hyper Shock specializes in them.

Mahira Khan’s Mukkho x Aurelia

Like Mukkho is to The Legend of Maula Jatt, we consider Aurelia to be Sound Crush’s most lovable little speaker. The love interest keeps trying to attach herself to the protagonist throughout the film. This reminds us of Aurelia’s ability to stick to metal surfaces by magnet. Mukkho gets carried around with ease by Maula Jatt, similar to how light-weighted and portable Aurelia is. She is very vocal about how she feels and is full of energy. She actively takes part in outdoor activities and initiates the only song in the entire movie. Equivalently, Aurelia has a rich sound and 9 hours play time, and it has fantastic lighting, even for the outdoors. In the film, Mukkho is seen wearing bright colors and Aurelia’s smooth light flows in 7 of them.

Humaima Malick’s Daro x Macaron

Similar to Daro in The Legend of Maula Jatt, Sound Crush’s Macaron is light and small but extremely fierce. Further, in a world run by violent men, Daro stands out as a woman who is equally, if not more, brutal. This reminds us of Macaron’s IPX7 waterproofness that rivals the big leagues like M7 and Hyper Shock. Daro doesn’t let any threat faze her just like Macaron’s durability. Daro believes in getting the job done without wasting any time, similar to Macaron’s fast charging time. In the film, Daro is seen wearing dark, metallic colors that fit Macaron’s palette options perfectly.

Mirza Gohar Rasheed’s Maakha x Hyper Wave

Maakha is a standout character in The Legend of Maula Jatt just like how Hyper Wave is an amazing speaker. Moreover, Maakha and Hyper Wave are both loud and know how to make their presence known. They both also have very unique looks. Just like how Maakha is a younger brother to Noori, Hyper Wave feels like one to Hyper Shock. Further, Maakha aspires to live up to his brother, and so does Hyper Wave with its IPX5 water resistance. Moreover, In the film, Maakha is seen wearing black clothes with silver jewels, which are Hyper Wave’s signature colors.

Other characters in The Legend of Maula Jatt include Faris Shafi’s Mooda and Ali Azmat’s Gogi. Mooda is all about the good vibes and lights up any room, just like Sound Crush’s Mono. Gogi is a big, round, lovable dude who reminds us of our Roundo speaker. The characters in the film are extremely diverse and vibrant with varying personalities and strengths. Ultimately, Same goes for the speakers here at Sound Crush.
